What is meant by firecloud.org can manage my Google Compute Engine resources

I just logged into FireCloud using my personal gmail account (I had previously registered with FireCloud under that account). Since it had been some time since I had last accessed FireCloud under that account, I was told to re-authenticate with Google, which I did, along with granting FireCloud the privileges it needed to access my personal gmail account. Then I received the following email from the Google Accounts Team:

Hi Chet,

FireCloud.org now has access to your Google Account chet.birger@gmail.com.

FireCloud.org can:
View and manage your Google Compute Engine resources

You should only give this access to apps you trust. Review or remove apps connected to your account any time at My Account.

Suppose I have some Google Compute Engine resources I created for myself outside of FireCloud (say a VM for a portal I've created). Does this imply that FireCloud.org can now view and manage them? (e.g., view the VMs I have provisioned for myself, and possibly start or stop them?)

thanks,

Chet
